Happy Birthday, KKP! | Year ONE

Back in November while I was setting goals + planning out 2016 I thought to myself, "Wait. What better way to celebrate my first birthday than with a cake smash?!" I have been itching for months now to put this vision to life, so today I celebrate 365 days of dream chasing + in honor of all the little one's I've met + photographed I've done what every one-year-old does to celebrate - I shoved my face in a beautiful, sugar-packed dessert. So here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

I couldn't have asked for a better first year as a photographer + business owner. It's crazy to think that this entire journey started as a thought in my head back in high school. Never did I think I would be able to actually chase my dreams.

Thank you to all the wonderful families who believed in me, hired me + trusted me to capture your little one's first moments. It has been an honor to work with you all, but it's been my privilege to welcome you into the KKP family. Thank you to all my family + friends for continually encouraging me along the way, cheering me up on the hard days + keeping me humble on the good ones. Thank you to the companies that thought I was good enough for featuring my images on your sites. Thank you to the local companies that have created a relationship with me, allowing me to give my clients the best service. Thank you to the Memphis photography community for accepting me as a peer. And finally, thank you to the Man upstairs for working through me + gifting me the talent of photography.

Keep Smilin',

A special thanks to the people and vendors that helped make my cake smash vision come to life. First and foremost, my handsome fiancĂ©, Adam, for being the muscles behind the scenes, Molly Farrell with Maggie Louise Bridal Boutique for helping capture the images above, the ladies of Propcellar Vintage Rentals for helping set the scene and Nuha Abuduhair with 17Berkshire for the beautiful cake.
