This momma is not only one of my dearest friends, but currently resides on the east coast, so you could imagine my excitement when she reached out about booking a Mommy + Me Session while she was in town. She decided to give herself a present this year for Mother's Day ... talk about a gift that lasts a lifetime! It was such a blast to catch up, spend one-on-one time with her and capture her two little ones. We pretty much locked ourselves in this room, busted out the fruit-loops and M&Ms (bribery at it's finest), jumped on the bed, ran around the room and took some awesome photos all at the same time. It's such a joy and honor when friends reach out to me to document special moments in their lives, and I'm forever thankful for you, Brooke. Here's more of our morning together, enjoy!!
If you're ever in need of a break from "adulting" go hang out with a two year old. You'll quickly forget about the stresses of life and take a trip back to the easy days of your childhood. Henry is a spit fire and I absolutely loved spending time with him jumping on the bed, reading books and listening to him talk. Ever notice... kids say the darndest things?? Henry will blow your mind with his conversations.
I absolutely love where this job has taken me and the people I've met along the way. These two are no exception. This maternity session took place in the beautiful parts of Orlando, FL. We spent the whole afternoon walking around Celebration, a quaint little community that felt like we were on set of a movie. We started with a stroll through the neighborhood, stopped from some ice cream and ended the day at the beautiful Moss Park. I think my favorite location of the day was at this park because it had something Tennessee doesn't have to offer, amazing moss trees that create such an enchanting backdrop.
These two have such a sweet, genuine love for each other, I have no doubt their baby girl will be one very loved little babe. Here is more of our day together in the beautiful sunshine state!
From newborn to six months this little girl grew in all the best ways. Her precious cheeks filled out, her belly got bigger, the rolls on her thighs multiplied and her facial expressions are to die for! I absolutely adore this precious family of three. Working with them is an absolute joy, not to mention the natural light that beams through baby girl's nursery is a dream! For a fun comparison of her growth there is a photo at the very bottom from her newborn session. I hope you enjoy this little gerber baby as much as I did photographing her at six months!
I absolutely loved being able to photograph sweet baby girl in her heirloom baptismal gown.
For the last photo I thought it would be fun to post the shot from her Newborn Session and six months later. She wasn't quite able to sit on her own so mom sat next to her for extra support.
Walking into this sweet family's home I knew I was in for a treat. Typically, I work with fresh new families of three, but this day I got to work with two little beauties + their parents. Within the first few minutes of being there mama explained her nerves about big sister smiling for the camera. Little did she know I always come prepared with my best monkey noises to help catch little ones' attention. Our morning together was a blast! Big sister showed out for the camera + there were so many precious moments caught on camera. Between reading books, playing in the crib, dancing in the nursery + giggling at the monkey noises, I'd say this session was nothing short of amazing!
This beautiful mommy is expecting her first little one, a baby boy at the end of the month. Our maternity session was as cozy as it gets! Leggings, winter socks + a big sweater was the way to this beauty's heart. It didn't take long after meeting her that I could tell right away what kind of mother she'll be. Between cradling her baby bump + cuddling up with her hubby, she is going to make such a calm, tender-hearted + loving mother. This session was nothing short of a peaceful time behind the camera. Not too much longer until we meet her little angel!
When I first met Ford's sweet parents, it was for an anniversary session last winter. Who would have thought just one year later we'd be photographing another beautiful milestone. Precious Ford stayed awake the ENTIRE time, but he was content as ever...just watching my every move + making some super cute faces at my camera. Capturing this precious family of three + Ford's fur siblings was an absolute joy. Here is more of our morning together.
This little one is very near + dear to my heart. Hayden is my first niece, my late Godmother's namesake + a true joy to the Kelley family. She was quite the surprise to us all because her momma + daddy waited until birth to find out what they were having... something I don't think I could ever wait to find out, but more power to the ladies that can! I loved my extra one-on-one time with Hayden. Our session finished with some sweet mommy + me time as well as two guest appearances - Hayden's older cousin Hudson + grandma Kelley!
